Student Aid Information
Student loans, flexible payment plans, and international payment options. The 2450-hour Advanced Massage Therapy Diploma is licensed through Alberta Advanced Education, which means eligible domestic students can apply for provincial and federal student loans.
Make the program financially workable
Managing your finances is part of the educational journey. NAKH offers options for both domestic and international students. Book time with a financial advisor before you enroll so the plan matches your situation.
Who can apply for student loans
You may be eligible if you are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person, and you are qualified to enroll in an approved post-secondary program. International students do not qualify for government student loans, but they can use international payment plans.
- Apply through Alberta Student Aid if Alberta is your funding province
- If you recently moved to Alberta from another province, use your home province's aid office (for example OSAP in Ontario)
- Nevin, Assistant Provost and Manager of Student Finances, will sit with you and walk the application through if you need help
Student loan repayment
After you complete the program, a six-month grace period is provided before repayment begins. Interest accrues during that period. Timely repayment protects your credit. If you face financial hardship, you may apply for the Repayment Assistance Plan (RAP) through Alberta Student Aid.
Flexible payment plans
Paying everything up front is not required. Domestic and international students can arrange a payment plan. A typical structure is three or four payments over the first eight months rather than one lump sum. Plans have to be realistic for the school as well as the student, so very small monthly amounts that would stretch over many years are not used.
International students can also arrange payments through international payment plans. Schedule an appointment with a financial advisor to choose the option that fits your massage therapy program.
International student fees
- Non-refundable $1,000 international deposit, credited toward the $2,500 international administrative cost
- This is the only additional fee beyond standard tuition
- See the Tuition Package for the full diploma breakdown
